    Being vegan does not mean that you avoid carbohydrate. Even when you have intention to lose weight, you still need to provide your body with enough carbohydrate. In the end, these are the sources of your calories or energies. When you are lack of these, you may not have enough power to do daily activities. The starchy foods are the good sources. There are potatoes, rice, pasta, cereals, and breads. These are the popular options. In this case, it is recommended to have wholegrain. This is important since wholegrain can be helpful to make you full faster and it can keep your belly full for longer period of time.
  3. Sources of protein
    In addition to calories, you need to consider the protein. You need protein for your cell regeneration. Even, some people may choose to have high-protein vegetarian diets since they need to have higher sources of protein to build their body. Regarding the sources of protein, of course you cannot consume eggs, meats, and dairy products. Vegan does not include the animal-derived products.  However, you do not need to worry about what is vegan food for protein sources. There are some plant-foods with high level of protein. You can choose beans, seeds, and nuts. These are good options to get enough protein in your body. 

These three elements are important food compositions that you should have. Each of them has different function in the body, so all of them must always be available in your daily portions of foods. Moreover, it is important to always use the unsaturated oils. These are better for your health. Moreover, you should have plenty of water. 8 to 10 glasses a day are enough to make your body hydrated.
